Les Alcyonides Swimwear is a breath of fresh air in the world of fashion bringing daring, elegant designs made of upcycled and locally sourced material.
At last, beautiful and eco-friendly swimsuits. Les Alcyonides Swimwear is a French brand that believes there is no need to choose between values and style, aiming to reconcile aesthetics and eco-responsibility.
Produced from recycled materials in Italy, the swimwear sculpts the body and is both recycled and recyclable.
The boutique is launching a new collection inspired by the fragrances of summer and sunshine. The range includes two one-piece swimsuits and two bikinis which are available to pre order on Ulule, an approach which avoids overproduction.
A Orlanne Crauet, Founder of Les Alcyonides said: “We don’t take ourselves too seriously and we like the sincerity of the shoot. Real bodies, not photoshopped images, real identities, since we are all unique. Like every woman.”
Les Alcyonides bathing suits also clean the oceans, helping to reduce the 640,000 tonnes of fishing nets that are lost or abandoned at sea every year. Its swimwear is made of upcycled fishing nets that are recovered at sea and then recycled into a new nylon thread in partnership with Healthy Seas. Volunteers at the association have so far recovered 773 tonnes of nets lost at sea since 2013.
Les Alcyonides Swimwear is therefore recycled and recyclable! Better still, as all the fabrics used are certified OEKO-TEX 100, they are also guaranteed zero toxicity for humans and the environment.
